Cogan Technology, Inc was established in 2005 by experienced ecologists and trained GIS professionals that previously worked for the Department of Interior (at the Remote Sensing and GIS Offices in Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado). For the past fifteen years, our staff and affiliates have completed over 50 successful and highly accurate vegetation inventory and mapping projects for the following organizations:

• U.S. Army National Guard
• Various State Parks, Counties, and other Public Agencies and Private Landowners
The CTI team includes project managers, scientists, staff, contributors, and sub-contractors that have over 40 years of combined experience working throughout the United States in different environments. Our team includes U.S. National Vegetation Classification System (USNVC) experts, seasoned field crews, skilled botanists and ecologists, and remote sensing and GIS professionals. Together we can provide plant community sampling, vegetation classification, environmental data collection, and accuracy assessments. We have routinely and successfully used the USNVC to create very detailed and accurate digital geo-databases using the latest GPS field sampling, remote sensing, and digital mapping techniques. In addition, we can also provide training programs, field guides, and various other environmental consultation services. We strive to produce the best spatial vegetation and environmental data to meet all of our client's resource management and inventory needs.
CTI principal offices are located in Galena, Illinois and are supported by various professionals from around the U.S. CTI sub-contracts as needed with local botanists, ecologists, and image processing experts and we have a long-standing relationship with the National Park Service and the National Vegetation Inventory Program.
