CTI Hybrid Mapping Approach





For these projects and others we have used a combination of image processing (to pull out barren and homogenous lands), segmentation (to map large homogeneous vegetation), and photo-interpretation (final delineation). This “hybrid” approach involves two stages (coarse and fine level mapping) and has proven to be the most cost-effective means of creating an accurate vegetation layer for large and complex environments.
